Apple Shake

Apple Shake





Serves : 2

Main Ingredients : Apple

Time : 20 mins

Difficulty : Easy




 

This shake is yet another tasty and simple to make. During my pregnancy time I was advised to take one apple a day. Having it daily wasn't easy for me as I was tired of the same taste everyday. So I started experimenting with it, and thought of making milkshake once or twice in a week, for giving different taste to my taste buds. Once I tried it with Cardamom seeds ( Elaichi ) it gave rich, sweet and delicious taste with its aromatic flavor and taste. My hubby loved it more then I did. Even today whenever I prepare apple shake, he reminds me not to forget the Cardamom flavor ... :)

So, once again lets try this delicious and nutritious drink ...




Ingredients :


  • 2 Apple 
  • 2 glass Milk                    
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  •  2 Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Ice Cubes
  • 5 Cardamom ( powdered )

Method :


  • First peel the Apples and cut in small pieces and keep it aside.Apple Red/Green should be selected according to your taste.
  • Now Take a blender and blend milk, apple and sugar in it till it becomes soft and smoothns up.
  • Now separately grind the Cardamom ( Elaichi ) into fine powder .
  • Mix this finely powdered Cardamom ( Elaichi ) and mix it in the shake. Cardamom helps in giving extra aroma and flavor to the shake.
  • Now with it add 2 scoop of Vanilla ice cream to the shake, to give it an extra smooth taste and flavor. Vanilla Ice cream goes well with apple shake.
  • Now take clean serving glasses and pour the apple shake in the glasses.
  • Add some crushed ice for extra coolness, and top it with few apple pieces... :)

 

* Keep the Apples and Milk in the refrigerator for hours before making the milkshake.

Litchi Shake

 Lychee also known as Litchi belongs to the soap-berry family. It originated in China and is now grown in many parts of the world.It is spotted in the Summer season. This fruit is a great source of B-complex and Vitamins. It contains high amount of Vitamin C. Litchi milkshake is typically made with blended milk and ice cream.This shake reminds me of my Dehradun days, where my uncle used to have Lychee gardens, and used to make fresh Lychee juice and shakes with different styles.So get the taste of litchi in quick time and relish the taste of a wonderful fruit. Shake it with ice cream and milk and get ready to taste the difference.

 




 

Serves : 2

Main Ingredient : Litchi

Time : 15-20 mins

Difficulty : Easy



Ingredients :

  • 500gm litchis 
  • 4 glass milk
  • 8 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 4 drops Vanilla essence.

 Method :  

 

  • Before making the shake its very important to peel the fresh litchies, remove its seed and keep the lychee pulp seperate in a container.
  • Now take a juicer and add the litchi pulp, milk, sugar and vanilla essence and give it a soft and smooth blend.
  • Now add ice cubes and blend it again till it crushes well with the juice, and your refreshing Lychee shake is ready to be serve.Now take two serving glasses.
  • Transfer the Lychee shake in the serving glasses with few more crushed ice.
  • Serve it chill.

Iced Watermelon Drink

One fruit that's not a miss in summers. Watermelon is a perfect summer delight drink. They are sweet and highly refreshing in summers. About 90% of watermelon consists of water. Its a great alternative energy drink. It consists Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Calcium, Iron, Vitamin ( A/C/B1/B2/B5/B6/B9 ). I still remember during my college days when I used to stay in hostel with my mates. We didn't had juicer with us, and I was very fond of watermelons, because of studies and shortage of time I used to prefer having its drink.So I used to take a tea stainer and press the watermelon pieces with its help,and used to have its drink with ice cubes. There are different ways of preparing its juices, one I would like to share it with you all. Give it a try once... :)

Main Ingredient : Water Melon

Time : 15 mins

Difficulty : Easy




Ingredients :



  • 2 big cups chopped watermelon 
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 5-6 Mint leaves 

                                

Directions :



  • Before starting the procedure, first peel the watermelon and cut it in small pieces.
  • After cutting it in small pieces, remove all the seeds and keep the required amount of watermelon pieces aside for the drink.
  • Now take a blender and put the ice cubes into it and blend until it is crushed. 
  • After this add the seeded watermelon in the blender and blend it again for about 1 minute.
  • Now add the honey into it , and blend it for few more seconds till its blended soft and  smooth.Your Watermelon drink is ready to serve... :)
  • Transfer it into a serving glass with lots of crushed ice cubes and mint leaves. 
  • Stir it again and serve it chilled...

 

Mango and Mint drink

Mango is the National fruit of India. It is the King of all fruits. It has always been my favorite fruit since my childhood days. There were number of Mango recipes that my mother used to make for me and my family and we used to love it thoroughly. Mangoes are mostly used in form of pickle, fruit, juice, jam, jelly etc. Mangoes are rich in fiber, Vitamin A/B/C/E/K, Iron, Calcium. Mangoes are good for heart, helps in reducing constipation, helps in increasing stamina, eye disorder, piles, indigestion, diarrhea, hair loss, heart stoke , etc. Talking about Mint it is mostly used in all Indian cuisines, as it helps in giving aromatic flavor to the food. It is used in tea, beverages, jellies, syrups, candies and ice creams. The following are the steps in making delicious healthy Mango and Mint shake... 

 




Serves : 2
Main Ingredient : Mango
Time : 15 mins
Difficulty : Easy



Ingredients :


1. Fresh mango - 1 no


2. Mint leaves - 10 to 12 


3. Salt as per taste


4. Ice Cubes - 3 to 4 or Honey


5. Sugar - 2 tsp( add more if required)


6. Chilled water







Method :


  • First remove the skin of the fresh mangoes and cut them in small pieces as shown in the above picture or remove the pulp of the mangoes with the help of a spoon and keep it aside.
  • Same way wash the fresh mint leaves and chop them finely and keep it aside.
  • Now take a blender, add the chopped mango pieces and the pounded mint leaves, give it a nice blend for 2-3 seconds.
  • After this add sugar or honey, ice cubes and chilled water and again blend it and give it a nice stir.
  • Now take 2 serving glasses and transfer the shake into it.
  • Add ice cubes and stir it again.
  • At the end garnish it with few mint leaves and your Mango Mint drink is ready to serve.
  • Serve it chill... :)
